Working With Partners
The Nature Conservancy pursues non-confrontational, pragmatic, market-based solutions to conservation challenges. This makes it essential for us to work collaboratively with partners—communities, businesses, government agencies, multilateral institutions, individuals and other non-profit organizations. Working with partners provides an opportunity to share ecological visions, pool resources and implement natural resources management across a broader landscape. Results of this collaborative approach typically achieve broader goals across larger landscapes, while using resources more effectively.

In Minnesota, we work with partners to develop conservation-based forest management plans, promote conservation-oriented agricultural programs and implement conservation strategies. Some of the key partnerships for the Nature Conservancy in Minnesota include:
Minnesota Forest Legacy Partnership
Minnesota’s Forest Legacy Partnership works with landowners, loggers, sportsmen, recreationists and communities to preserve the forests for timber, jobs, public access and wildlife habitat.
Minnesota Campaign for Conservation
The Minnesota Campaign for Conservation is a coalition of citizens and organizations committed to ensuring the preservation of Minnesota’s cherished outdoor traditions for future generations.
Minnesota's Habitat Conservation Partnership
The Partnership was formed and funded by the 2001 Minnesota Legislature, as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources, to work to restore fragmented landscapes and connect high quality habitat.
Army Compatible Use Buffer Program at Camp Ripley
The Conservancy is working with the Minnesota DNR, private landowners and the Army Guard Bureau at Camp Ripley in central Minnesota to limit encroachment by surrounding development through the Army Compatible Use Buffer (ACUB) program.
