Introducing Our New State Director:        Terry Cook

Terry Cook begins this September as the State Director of the Kentucky Chapter.  Terry has worked for the Conservancy for over 16 years.  His latest position was as Regional Director of Science for the Conservancy's Eastern U.S. Conservation Region.  His experience working domestically and internationally, locally and globally will serve to catalyze renewed partnerships and a new commitment to conserving the natural heritage of Kentucky.

Welcome Terry!

Conservation Buyer Program

The Nature Conservancy's Conservation Buyer Program allows us to work with private purchasers to protect land that buffers biologically sensitive areas.  These properties typically do not harbor rare or endangered species but offer a shield of protection from such things as development, damaging agricultural practices, and pollution.

The Kentucky Chapter's Timberlake and Buckner-Reece properties in Hart County are currently available for purchase.
